There has been a large amount of interest in seeds of the Guelph asparagus hybrids in recent weeks. With this in mind, we just wanted to update on recent findings of the varieties and on seed availability.
Guelph Millennium
Guelph Millennium continues to perform at a high level in green asparagus production fields. It combines excellent spear quality with the best field longevity of proven green asparagus hybrids. High quality seed is available, please enquire for more details.

Guelph Eclipse
Guelph Eclipse is the next star performer from the Fox Seeds / University of Guelph asparagus breeding stable. We have been looking at trials plots across Europe in the last few weeks and have observed excellent fern vigour and quality. Guelph Eclipse is an early season type with larger spear diameter that is also being tested for white asparagus production. Seed stocks are limited.

Guelph Equinox
Guelph Equinox will be the next commercial asparagus hybrid from this breeding program. We have visited commercial plots in Ontario, Canada as well as European testing sites, this autumn. Guelph Equinox combines high yields, excellent tip quality and high levels of production in its early years. Seed stocks are extremely limited.
